Crown
The word "crown" refers to the top area of a tree, which encompasses the branches that grow out from the main stem and the leaves which are used in photosynthesis.
We provide a few crown-related services:
• Thinning (removal of portion of smaller branches to create a uniform density of foliage)
• Reduction (reduction in height and/or width of the crown)
• Lifting (removal of the lowest hanging branches of the crown)
• Dead wooding (removal of dead branches within the crown that pose a safety risk)
• Pollarding (removal of all the upper branches in a tree in order to encourage new growth, leaving behind the main stem. We only do this under exceptional circumstances.)
